And the Winner is...

Most Improved Player (MIP) - Mario Chalmers, Chalmers has all the incentive to preform much better then he did last year, considering the fact that he lost his starting spot, gained it back and then under performed. Hopefully the Heats playoff disappointments inspires Chalmers to step his game up, and with all eyes on the Heat if Chalmers does improve his game all of the NBA will know making him my guess for Most Improved Player.

6th man of the year - Jason Terry, after him and Dirk carried the Mavs to the NBA championship, the league is bound to acknowledge him for the all-star level player he is. Every year the Jet is in the running for 6th man of the year even winning it back in 2006. The championship is what gives him the edge against his competition in the 2011-2012 season.

Defensive Player of the Year- Dwight Howard, this selection is way too easy, after being the first player in history to win 3 consecutive Defensive Player of the Year next year he is going to up the ante and set the record at four.

Rookie Of the Year (ROY)- Kemba Walker, as long as the Bobcats trade away D.J Augustin Kemba will have the most room to shine out of all the other rookies this year,
with Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson gone Kemba will be the Bobcats main, if only scoring option. While the Bobcats may be entering a rebuilding process and lack any true stars this is great news for Kemba since he will be able to stat stuff all season and win the Rookie of the Year award.

Coach Of the Year (COY)- Mike D'Antoni, The Coach of the Year is ALWAYS awarded to A) Best record in the league/conference or B) Huge improvement over last year. Mike D'Antoni falls into Category B if the Knicks can put over 55 wins Mike D'Antoni is a serious contender for coach of the year.

NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP)-  Kevin Durant, after winning back to back scoring titles and leading his 5th seed thunder to the Western Conference finals Durant(age 22)is just getting started. With Kevin finally getting the recognition he deserves he is next season most likely MVP if the Thunders can break the mediocrity mark in the West and become one of top 3 teams in their conference, Kevin will show his doubters he is not the next T-Mac. Kevin who is just entering his prime will most likely lead the league in scoring yet again, if he can improve on his 3 point shooting and shoot percentage maybe by a even wider margin. Look for Kevin come playoff team to raise the MVP trophy, and maybe later raise the Finals MVP trophy.
